Stove top preparation:
Place potatoes in a pot with water. Cover and bring to a boil, then simmer until tender (approximately 30 minutes).
Microwave oven preparation:
Pierce each potato a few times with a fork. Microwave on high for 90–100 seconds per potato. For best results, flip potatoes half way through cooking time.
Suggestion:
Add salt and/or seasonings steeped in melted butter.
